RESOLUTION NO. 42-99

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE WEST MIFFLIN SANITARY SEWER MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICERS TO MAKE A FORMAL REQUEST OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR AN INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT GRANT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF A PUMP STATION AND SANITARY SEWERS FOR THE NOBLE ROAD SERVICE AREA.

 

            WHEREAS, the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority is in the process of building a pump station on property the Authority is purchasing from the Specialty Group, Inc. (the Sales Agreement is attached hereto); and

            WHEREAS, said pump station and sanitary sewer shall provide service to the Specialty Group and Noble Road service area expansion; and

            WHEREAS, the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority requests an infrastructure development program grant in the amount of $250,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development;

            NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved and it is hereby resolved as follows:

            1.         The West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority authorizes the proper officers to request an Infrastructure Development Program Grant in the amount of $250,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be used for the development and construction of a pump station and sanitary sewer for the Specialty Group and the Noble Road service area.

            2.         The applicant does hereby designate Cynthia A. Sullivan, Chairman and Irene Parkinson, Funding Coordinator, as the officials to execute all documents and agreements between the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, facilitate and assist in obtaining the revised grant.

            Resolved this 3rd of June 1999.

            I, Michael Price, duly qualified Secretary of the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a Resolution duly adopted by a majority vote of the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority Board of Directors at its regular meeting held on June 3, 1999, and said Resolution has been recorded in the minutes of the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority and remains in effect as of this date.
