41-99
A RESOLUTION
OF THE WEST MIFFLIN SANITARY SEWER MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY, ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 19-97 BY REVISING THE FEES FOR DYE TESTING
AND ESTABLISHING DEFINITIONS.
WHEREAS, the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority, on June
5, 1997, adopted a Resolution establishing requirements for evidence of compliance
with laws and regulations controlling the introduction of storm water and
surface water into the Authority’s sanitary sewer system prior to the sale
of real estate within the Borough and further requiring such evidence of compliance
as a condition precedent to the issuance of Borough lien letters and further
establishing certain fees and procedures for securing said evidence of compliance;
and
WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that dye testing commercial properties
requires more extensive labor and expense than residential properties; and
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, necessary to charge higher rates to commercial
properties for the costs to the Authority of dye testing;
NOW, THEREFORE, be resolved and it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. Definitions.
The terms used in this Resolution shall have the meanings set forth as
follows:
(a) Residential: Single
premise residences, individual trailer/mobile homes, individual units in apartment/condominium
buildings.
(b) Commercial I: All non-residential
buildings with square footage up to and including 30,000 square feet.
(c) Commercial II: All non-residential
buildings in excess of 30,000 square feet.
2. The fees for dye testing,
certifying the results and issuing evidence of compliance by the Authority
are as follows:
(a) Residential: $50.00
per residence.
(b) Commercial I: $200.00 per
building.
(c) Commercial II: $400.00 per
building.
3. Any resolution or parts
of resolutions which are contrary
to or conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed
to the extent necessary to give this Resolution full force and effect.
4. The effective date of
this Resolution shall be the 6th day of May
1999.
