RESOLUTION NO. 8-96

RESOLUTION OF THE WEST MIFFLIN SANITARY SEWER MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY ADOPTING THE PROVISIONS OF THE BOROUGH OF WEST MIFFLLN ORDINANCE NO. 990, AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WEST MIFFLIN, ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 907, BY REQUIRING AN ANNUAL WRITTEN INSPECTION REPORT AND RETENTION OF THE REPORT, REQUIRING THE BOROUGH TO COLLECT, TRANSFER AND DISPOSE OF CONTENTS AT THE COST OF OWNER/OR LESSEE OF THE HOLDING TANK, ALLOWING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCES; SE1TING FEES THERETO AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR NON-COMPLIANCE THEREWITH:

WHEREAS, the Borough of West Mifflin has enacted Ordinance Number 990 on March 17,1992, said Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 907, by requiring an annual written inspection report and retention of the report, requiring the Borough to collect, transfer and dispose of contents at the cost of owner and/or lessee or the holding tank, allowing abatement of nuisances; setting fees thereto and providing penalty for non-compliance therewith.

WHEREAS, the Borough has transferred the ownership of the sewage system to the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority as well as responsibility for the maintenance thereof; and

WHEREAS, the Board of the WMSSMA has determined that it should adopt a Resolution encompassing the provision of Ordinance No. 907

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:

1. The provisions of Ordinance Number 907 are hereby adopted with the same force and effect as if set forth herein at length. A true and correct copy of Ordinance Number 907 is attached hereto and made part hereof.

BE IT RESOLVED THIS 7th day of November 1996.
